requirements for dog care

Updated Daycare Enrollment Requirements

To be eligible for enrollment at Dingo’s Dogsitting Doggy Daycare we will need the following from you:

A Vaccination Report and Vet Records. Your Vet can fax these to us at: 857-588-7706. Please insure your dog is up to date on his/her Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination. The canine influenza virus vaccine is not required but it is recommended.

Proof of a negative stool sample within the past six months.

Completed and signed Dingo’s Dogsitting Forms. Forms can be downloaded here: http://dingosdogsitting.com/contact-us

Dogs must be spayed or neutered by one year of age and show no signs of aggression.

Please check the mouth and paw-pads of your dog prior to enrollment to ensure he/she is not presenting with the canine papilloma virus, a benign but contagious virus that presents in the form of warts.   For puppies and dogs under age two, whose immune systems have not yet fully developed, we recommend that you begin your dog on a treatment of colloidal silver before they begin group play.  Colloidal silver can be purchased over-the-counter or online and has potential immune boosting effects that may help ward off the  virus.  For more info on the canine papilloma virus, or as it’s known anecdotally, “puppy warts” or “puppy chickenpox”, see here: http://www.dingosdogsitting.com/single-post/2017/02/09/The-Canine-Papilloma-Virus-What-It-Is-and-How-You-Can-Help-Us-Minimize-It-at-the-Daycare

Kindly bring to our attention any health-related issues your dog may be experiencing. Does he have tendinitis or favor a certain leg? Prone to ear infections or conjunctivitis? Sensitive stomach? Allergies? These are all things we would like to know prior to your dog’s first visit so that we can be proactive about her health and care.

Also, please fill us in on your dog’s temperament; if you run out of space on the forms, use the back. Does your dog love toys but have resource aggression? Food aggression? A tendency to mount or mark? Has he/she been known to jump fences? Chew items like furniture? Eat inedible objects? Does he prefer women over men or vice versa? The more information we have the better. We will share this information with staff in order to mitigate issues before they happen.

Please note that some new dogs will experience paw pad sensitivity after playing on our pea pebbles (for more information on this, see here: https://dingosdogsitting.com/single-post/2017/12/13/our-pea-pebbles-and-your-dog/) .  We recommend all owners purchase a product called Musher’s Secret (http://musherssecret.net/) and treat their dog both before and after daycare.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to email us and someone will get back to you within 24 hours or less: info@dingosdogsitting.com
